The xbox does throw a wobbly when something has happened on the router and this is even down to when the connection (internet) being reset, you change configuration, it's worse when the xbox is in sleep mode but if power off fully after use so get the full bootup sequence 99.9% of the time you won't get this issue. Doesn't work. Simply put, an Xbox 360 requires an external internet connection to access the internet.
